Greetings from Paris!

Here we are across from the Petit Palais where people from all over the world flocked this year to see the Yves Saint Laurent show! It was truly amazing and inspiring as was the rest of our long weekend in the City of Light!

The image above is from the cover of Sam Wasson’s recent fascinating book Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M. In it I learned many things including the fact that Paramount Studios sent Audrey Hepburn to Paris in 1953 to create her new look for the film Sabrina (and eventually Breakfast at Tiffany’s)! She got to do that with Hubert de Givenchy! How fabulous & just another reason to create my Bon Vivant fabric collection for Windham Fabrics. We’ll be presenting it next week at International Quilt Market in Houston, Texas!

Films like La Vie En Rose and Coco Before Chanel starring Marion Cottillard and Audrey Tatou ignited the French vintage trend inspiring fashion designers like Kate Spade and many others this season to revisit elegance.
